Gospel artiste, Samuel Onwubiko aka Limoblaze has given his take on merging Afrobeats with spiritual messages. He emphasised that Afrobeats can celebrate Jesus. In an interview with Saturday Beats, the gospel artiste said, “Afrobeats can be about Jesus too. I am committed to spreading the Gospel through a unique blend of afrobeats, pop, and rap.”

Limoblaze, celebrated for his viral hit “Jireh,” elaborated on his creative process. He said, “I don’t make music for making sake. I always try to tell a story concerning the faith journey of young Christians. This is ministry and I take it seriously.”

Talking about his latest album, Young and chosen, he said, “This 14-track project is already standing out for its powerful lyrics and energetic beats that resonate with listeners worldwide. Beyond praise and worship styles of gospel songs, this album tells stories that young people can relate to, in a fashion that they are familiar with. The album is a natural progression of my musical journey, a testament to growth as an artist, and also a reflection of personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs, that I hope will serve as a source of inspiration and hope for others.”

Looking ahead, Limoblaze is excited to take Young and Chosen on the road, with a series of events planned, including a headline show at O2 Kentish Town in London this September.
