The world of pageantry took an exciting turn with the rebranding of Mr and Miss Nigeria International into Inferno Runway: Mr. and Miss Nigeria International, a groundbreaking fusion of beauty, glamour, and fashion design.
A statement sent to Saturday Beats noted that the “innovative evolution made history as the first pageant to incorporate a fashion design reality show, opening up new opportunities for creatives to shine”.
The 2024 edition, held in Akwa Ibom State, introduced not only the traditional pageant titleholders but also celebrated its first-ever fashion designer champion, Joel Thomas, whose designs dazzled both the judges and the audience.
According to the New York-based entertainment company owned by American producer, Bob Cal, this rebrand aligns with FE TV HUB’s mission, “Our partnership with Brendan Nsikak and Inferno Runway is about breaking barriers and creating opportunities for talent from emerging markets like Nigeria to shine on global platforms.”
“This represents a bold new chapter where creativity meets glamour. We’re proud to be the first to merge pageantry and fashion design in a way that redefines what is possible for these industries, said the founder of the pageant, Brendan Nsikak.
The statement added that the rebranding was brought to life through a partnership with FE TV HUB, a New York-based entertainment company.
The event showcased Nigeria’s creative potential, and the winners were set to gain international exposure, including a debut at Brooklyn Fashion Week.
