Burna Boy, Chloe Bailey turn heads at Lagos nightclub

Popular music artiste, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, created a buzz in Lagos this week when he made a stylish entrance to a party alongside renowned American singer, Chloe Bailey.

The duo arrived at the club dressed to impress in matching black outfits, while commanding attention with the chemistry they shared.

Both of them were also seen at another party where she sported his luxurious diamond chain inscribed with ‘ODG.’ It was clear that Chloe was having a blast, as she lit up the dance floor alongside Burna Boy.

Their undeniable chemistry led fans to speculate about a potential romance between the two. In the wake of these rumors, Burna Boy’s ex-girlfriend and music artiste, Steff London, allegedly shared nostalgic videos of their past relationship, including moments when he gifted her a Rolls Royce. However, in response to the swirling rumors, London’s friend, Empress, remarked, “You people know nothing at all. So it’s so laughable,” further fuelling the intrigue with hot vacation photos they posted from Dubai.

Chloe wasn’t the only one to receive a luxury gift from Burna Boy at the club. Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, also received an exotic neckpiece from the ‘City Boy’ crooner. Expressing his gratitude, Kuti shared in an Instagram post, “From @burnaboygram with love. We actually met properly for the first time and Odogwu send gift. Thanks bro. Big love.”

Meanwhile, lawyer and activist, David Adeyanju, has been vocal in criticising Burna Boy over the arrest of singer, Speed Darlington. In an X post on December 18, 2024, he wrote, “For insulting Burna Boy, the Ojuelegba Fela, Speed Darlington has been in police custody for over three weeks and counting. Burna Boy is a hypocrite, an oppressor, and a typical clownish character like one of the many depicted in George Orwell’s book for using police to harass and oppress Speed Darlington over alleged defamation.”

Recall that Darlington was arrested after Burna Boy filed a petition against him, alleging defamation and cyber stalking. This followed Darlington’s video insinuating that Burna Boy’s association with American rapper Sean Combs, aka Diddy, suggested they may have had a sexual relationship. Diddy was arrested by the FBI on charges of sexual exploitation and abuse.
