Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes will miss a club match through injury for the first time in his professional career with the attacker forced to sit out Manchester United's Premier League match at Crystal Palace on Monday.

Fernandes' record spans his time at Novara, Udinese, Sampdoria, Sporting CP and Manchester United.

The Portugal international has missed just one match through illness since joining United in January 2020 -- a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in 2022. But he will miss their match at Selhurst Park as United seek to boost their hopes of European qualification ahead of next season.

Fernandes' absence, coupled with Scott McTominay's injury, means United have had 64 cases of injury or illness which have caused a player to miss a match this season.
