The German Football Association (DFB) have launched a bid to host the 2029 Women's Euros and have outlined their plans for the tournament.

The women's Euros take place every four years with the next edition taking place this summer in Switzerland in five months time.

Germany -- who have won the title eight times -- had previously admitted their interest in hosting the tournament in September 2024 and have now officially declared their intent to bid for hosting rights, outlining their vision ahead of the preliminary bid on March 12.

After having a failed bid to host the 2025 edition, Poland are also bidding to host the 2029 tournament. Denmark and Sweden have also joined forces for a bid, with Italy and Portugal also declaring their intentions. Neither have previously hosted a women's major tournament.

Germany hosted the women's European Championship in 1989 and 2001, as well as the Women's World Cup in 2011.

The DFB plan to host the first women's Euros to turn a profit, increase participation in football across the continent and set a new benchmark for visibility, inclusion and empowerment.

The UEFA Executive Committee will vote to determine a host in December 2025.
