Nigerian singer Burna Boy has lost the Best Global Music Album award at the 2026 Grammys.

His album, No Sign of Weakness, was beaten by Brazilian icons Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia, who won with Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo.

Burna Boy was up against Sounds Of Kumbha by Siddhant Bhatia, Eclairer le monde – Light the World by Youssou N’Dour, Mind Explosion (50th Anniversary Tour Live) by Shakti, Chapter III: We Return to Light by Anoushka Shankar featuring Alam Khan & Sarathy, and Korwar.

The loss follows Burna Boy’s earlier defeat in the Best African Music Performance category, where South African singer Tyla took the prize with Push 2 Start, beating him, Davido and Ayra Starr.
