Erling Haaland has been left out of Manchester City's squad for their trip to Leeds United.

Haaland has 22 goals in 27 appearances for City this season but will miss out at Elland Road, in the city of his birth, with Rayan Cherki coming into the starting XI for Pep Guardiola's side.

City travel to west Yorkshire aiming to cut the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just two points with a win.

Omar Marmoush, Cherki and Antoine Semenyo make up City's forward line in the absence of the side's talisman with Phil Foden, Savino and Jeremy Doku the attacking options from the bench.

"Two days ago in training he had some problems and a little injury. Not a big issue but [he's] not ready for today," Guardiola said of Haaland's absence.

"We are without one top striker and we are playing with another top striker."
