January Apple deals
The latest Apple devices don't typically get big discounts in the first year or so after their release.
However, tech can now save a staggering £150 on the latest generation iPhone Air - Apple's ultra-slim flagship smartphone.
Likewise, the Apple Mac mini with the powerful M4 chip has been discounted to only £529.
Or, if you want to take some Apple computing power on the go, the ultra-portable 2022 Apple MacBook Air is now £150 off.
And to keep all your new tech safe, you can snag a four-pack of Apple AirTags for just £85.
Apple's latest generation of devices typically doesn't receive big discounts, which makes this iPhone Air deal extremely exciting.
At just 5.6mm, this is Apple's thinnest and lightest smartphone to date.
But the iPhone Air doesn't skimp on features, and still boasts an impressive 48MP main camera and a powerful A19 Pro chip.
There's no point buying an expensive piece of tech, only to lose it the next day. However, with the Apple AirTag, that will never be a problem.
A modern-day essential, these handy little devices connect with the tap of a button with your Apple device.
The innovative technology will guide you right back to your item, whether it's a suitcase, purse, keychain, or even the remote control that somehow always ends up lost. Never again!
2022 Apple MacBook Air (13.6")
Although it isn't the latest generation of Apple laptop, the 2022 MacBook Air is an outstanding deal under £700.
With a 13.6" Liquid Retina display, this laptop is perfect for working or relaxing with a movie. And, on the inside, the M2 chipset provides more than enough power for all your processing needs
For a more powerful Max experience in a compact package, look no further than the Apple Mac Mini.
At just 13cm by 13cm, this computer will barely take up any space on your desk. But the compact form still packs in 16GB of RAM and Apple's most powerful chipset.
And, at just £529, this is one of the best home computers you can get for the price.
January TV deals
With plenty of dark winter nights still ahead of us, the January sales are the ideal time to update your home entertainment system.
But with so many different TVs and so much technical data to sift through, finding the right one can be tough.
We have found four excellent offers from Samsung, Sony, and LG that should have something for every price range.
John Lewis has big savings on Samsung's high-end offerings, especially the extremely stylish 55-inch 'The Frame' TV at £400 off.
For a more conventional television, Samsung's 4K ultra-HD QE50Q7F2A is now under £400 at John Lewis.
Meanwhile, you can save £100 on LG televisions, including the excellent LG OLED55C54LA.
Or, for a great mid-range option, consider the Sony Bravia 3 K50S38BP, which has exceptionally good specs for only £569
Samsung's The Frame is an exceptionally sleek smart TV that hangs just like a picture frame.
When it's off, you can use it to liven up the living room with digital art, and when it's on, you can make the most of the stunning 4K resolution.
Now down to just £799 at John Lewis, this is an exceptionally good deal on one of the most unique TV options on the market.
In another great deal from Samsung, the 50-inch QE50Q7F2A offers far more punch than its price would suggest.
With a brilliant 4K QLED display, this TV offers incredible brightness and clarity. And, thanks to Samsung's 'Quantum Dot' technology, you can enjoy 100 per cent boosted colour volume.
Now, £130 off at AO, the Samsung QE50Q7F2A is an excellent mid-range option.
The LG OLED55C54LA is probably the best TV for most people's homes and offers specs well above its price point.
For just over £1,000, you get an exceptionally crisp 55-inch OLED display with plenty of punchy colours.
The Sony Bravia 3 K50S38BP is an excellent mid-range option that boasts incredible colours and impressive audio.
At its usual price, the Bravia doesn't quite compete with its cheaper alternatives. But, now at £569, this is well worth considering as an upgrade for your current television.

Now £150 off, these are an excellent deal for under £300.
These stunning headphones match impressive style with equally outstanding audio performance.
Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 come in an array of eye-catching colours and boast a sleek folding design that makes many competitors look bulky.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (1st Gen)
Now that Bose has released the second generation of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, these fantastic headphones are finally seeing some big price reductions.

Now a third off at under £200 from John Lewis, this is a great deal for an excellent pair of headphones.
These sports headphones are the perfect combination for any keen athlete. As well as offering great sound, they also double as a wearable fitness tracker.
The headphones record real-time heart rate and core temperature to calculate your performance and fatigue levels.
So, if you're looking to ditch the bulky smartwatches and fitness apps, these could be the perfect choice.
January soundbar deals
For that full at-home-cinema experience, you can't skimp on the audio.

Now with an additional £20 off, the Sony HT-SD40 is one of the best value soundbar deals out there.
Wearables deals
If you have a New Year's resolution to get fit in 2026, a sports wearable could be just the boost you need to keep going.
Luckily, John Lewis has some fantastic deals on sports watches like the Garmin Forerunner 265, which is now £50 off.
Likewise, the FitBit Charge 6, with seven days of battery life, is now well under £100 with savings of £50.
For a more complete smart watch with great fitness tracking features, look no further than the Google Pixel Watch 4 at just £279.
And, if wearing a watch isn't your style, the Oura Ring 4 fitness tracker is a stunning deal at £349.
Although the Forerunner 265 isn't the latest of Garmin's sports watches, it packs in enough features at a low enough price to make it well worth considering.
This is a watch designed with runners in mind, and boasts features like trail and track running modes, race prediction times, and running form insights.
The Garmin Forerunner 265 even offers offline music with Spotify, for those long runs when you don't want to carry your phone.
At the cheaper end of the fitness tracker spectrum, the Fitbit Charge 6 offers a simpler set of features for a very appealing price.
The Fitbit Charge 6 is extremely lightweight at just over 30g, so you will barely notice it on your wrist.
Alongside all the usual fitness features, the watch is also water-resistant up to 50 metres, making it perfect for swimming.
If you're looking to ditch the bulky fitness tracker but keep all the health data you could ever need, the Oura Ring 4 is the best option for you.
This discreet smart ring includes sensors to track every imaginable metric. Users can receive personalised health guidance, sleep breakdowns, stress levels, and track 40 different types of workouts.
And, thanks to a weeklong battery life, you'll never be caught without the charge you need to track a spontaneous jog.
The Google Pixel Watch 4 is much more of a full smartwatch than a sport-specific watch. However, it is still packed with more than enough sporting features to satisfy an ardent fitness fanatic.
With two days of battery life and GPS tracking technology, this is also an excellent choice for fans of trail running or backpacking.
What to avoid in the January sales
Brand new laptops
Unlike a lot of tech that will release in time for Christmas, new laptops generally arrive in the summer, to coincide with students returning to school. This means the price drops on older models don't happen until the middle of the year. Unless there is a really good offer, like the one on the LENOVO Legion Pro 7, it's better to hold out until later.
Buying the latest releases
Although you might be keen to get hold of the latest generation of tech in the January sale, this isn't the best time to do it. Newly released tech is at its most expensive and will take time before big discounts start to appear. Instead, look at older devices like the iPhone 16 and PlayStation 5, which are now starting to appear for better prices.
Falling for fake discounts
Just because a product appears to be 20 per cent off, that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be saving that much money. Some shops will increase their prices before the sales, so that they can cut them in the sales to create discounts. Likewise, some older devices are rarely sold at their RRP, so there's no need to rush. Instead, use a service like Which? or sites like PriceRunner to look at the average price of the item.
