Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has recounted an incident in 2021 when her former management allegedly cancelled her ministration at Rev. Felix Omobude’s church, Gospel Light International Ministries.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the singer said she was determined to fulfil her commitment and made her way to the church.

However, upon arrival at the airport, she was met by a medical team who said they had been informed that she was suffering from a life-threatening illness.

She wrote, “Glory be to God! This video is from October 2021. I was scheduled to minister at Rev. Felix Omobode’s church, but my previous management cancelled my participation. Despite that, I fought to attend, and by God’s grace, He made a way.

“When I arrived at the airport, I was greeted by a medical team. They explained that they had been informed I was gravely ill and battling a terminal health condition.”

Chinwo stated that this false information caused her immense emotional and mental distress.

“It was incredibly painful, and the mental strain was intense,” she wrote.

“But the Lord healed my heart and gave me peace. This is just one of many experiences. To Him alone be all the glory!”

PUNCH reports that the “battle” between Chinwo and Ezekiel Onyedikachi, aka EeZee Tee, the owner of her former record label (EeZee Conceptz), is seemingly not going to end anytime soon.

A statement signed by her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, stated that the relationship between the duo took a “turning point” in 2019 when EeZee allegedly requested to extend her five-year contract to 12 years, which she declined.

Eezeetee continue to intimidate her, isolating and bullying her, misleading people inviting her for events about her availability,” the statement partly read.
