A United States of America-based Nigerian musician, Victor Ayara, has said that ever since he was a kid, music had given him a lot of opportunities, which invariably made his life easier.

In a statement sent to Saturday Beats, he said, “I have always loved from childhood. As a matter of fact, music has been a saviour of sorts for me. Through music, I got a scholarship to go to school. Music has always been a constant factor in my life. I usually have my guitar with me, and if I’m not working from home, I would be making music.”

The singer added that he titled his album, ‘Freedom of Expression’, because he loved to express his artistry through different genres of music, and did not want to put in a box.

Speaking on what fans should expect from the album, he said, “There will be 12 songs on the album, but I have recorded over 30 tracks. I see all my songs as my children and I love them equally, so it has been hard deciding which songs to pick and which to drop.”

Ayara also stated that he would be launching a non-profit organisation— Imabasi Youth Foundation— soon in a bid to impact the lives of young people.
