 The City of Johannesburg endured a rough 2023, with no apparent end in sight to its service delivery woes.

With three mayors, two Speakers, two disasters, water supply drama, many electricity outages unrelated to Eskom's load shedding and a major hike in municipal rates, the jury is out as to whether 2024 will be any better for residents. 

In July, concerned Johannesburg residents banded together to form the Johannesburg Crisis Alliance (JCA) to try and stop the rot in the country's economic hub.
