The five men accused of killing rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his friend, chef and businessman, Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, plan to appeal a court ruling which denied them bail on Wednesday.

Earlier, Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo said it would be reckless and irresponsible to release Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, 30, Lindani Ndimande, 35, Siyanda Myeza, 21, Mziwethemba Gwabeni, 36, and Lindokuhle Ndimande, 29, on bail.

The men face charges of murder, attempted murder, money laundering, as well as the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in relation to the February 2023 killing of the rapper and his friend on Durban's Florida Road.
