President Cyril Ramaphosa has failed in his duty and responsibility to guard against unconstitutional legislation with the signing of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Act, says trade union Solidarity in draft court documents, in which it asks for the law to be declared invalid.
“We believe he is acting contrary to the Constitution and his job description as leader of the country,” said Anton van der Bijl, deputy head of Solidarity, charged with legal matters.
