Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande leave King Mswati International Airport to travel to South Africa.

Two brothers accused of the murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, have landed at King Shaka International Airport in Durban after their extradition from Eswatini.

There was a high police presence during the arrival of Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who landed shortly before 10:00.

The Ndimande brothers fought their extradition for more than a year before abandoning their fight last month.

At the airport, police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said heightened security was necessary to ensure a secure handover of the brothers by Interpol to the investigating team.

“The presence of the special task force here tells us this is a high-risk operation as they deal with the most wanted suspects in the country,” she said.

The brothers were collected by members of the task force on Tuesday morning in Eswatini.

Mathe said they were charged upon their arrival at the airport by investigating officer Kumarasan Pillay, before they were taken to court.

As an additional safety precaution, the two brothers would be transported in a Nyala.

Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down in Durban’s Florida Road in February 2023.
