A woman was allegedly attacked on Saturday by a group of children while walking in Camps Bay.

Homeless children allegedly attacked and robbed a woman walking on the Camps Bay beachfront at around 06:00 on Saturday.

Western Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi told News24 that Camps Bay police were informed of the incident but that the complainant is yet to register a case as she was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

"We are appealing to her to open a case," he said.
