The City of Johannesburg has apologised for failing to pay its debt collectors for the last six months.
It said it would pay the 93 companies by 31 October.
On Wednesday, DA Johannesburg caucus leader Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku said the service providers had collected R500 million in the first two months of the year but had not been paid for six months.
