The ANC’s formation of a government of national unity (GNU) will not sacrifice its policy positions on foreign affairs, affirmative action and workers' rights.

This was the assurance ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula gave hours after the ruling party signed a framework agreement to form a GNU.

According to Mbalula, a government of national unity is for the good of the country.
