Teething problems in the newly formed provincial government of unity (PGU) have delayed the announcement of a cabinet in Gauteng.

Panyaza Lesufi, who was sworn in as premier last Friday, has been in office for a week but has yet to announce his cabinet.

Lesufi was meant to announce it on Tuesday, but the announcement was shifted to Friday. The latest communication stated the premier would unveil his cabinet on Sunday at 14:00.
