Western Cape police are investigating the death of a police officer shot during a domestic violence dispute in Mamre.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said the 44-year-old sergeant and his colleague responded to a complaint at Klapmuts Street at 12:45 on Wednesday.
The perpetrator allegedly disarmed the sergeant, shot him dead, and also fired at the colleague, who was unharmed.
