The ANC's long-standing ally, trade union federation Cosatu, sang the ruling party's praises, insisting it did a lot for workers and that the DA was threatening to reverse its progress.
Cosatu is gearing up for its National Workers' Day celebrations at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Wednesday, where President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address 20 000 participants.
On Tuesday, Cosatu's Zingiswa Losi addressed the media ahead of the celebrations and said the event was an opportunity to mobilise workers to vote for the ANC.
