Five years ago, Mmusi Maimane, then the leader of the DA, claimed that four DA councillors were implicated in maladministration in the City of Cape Town.

Now, Maimane, leader of Build One SA, has to pay close to half a million rand to the councillors, some of whom are no longer with the DA.

Maimane accused former councillors Suzette Little, Thulani Stemele, Shaun August and Greg Barnardo of being implicated in a Bowmans report, which found maladministration in the City.
