All eyes will be firmly on President Cyril Ramaphosa when he finally signs the much-anticipated National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill into law at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Wednesday.
While it's unclear exactly which "very special pen" Ramaphosa will use for the occasion, Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said the signing was cause for a "celebration" of a decade-old process.
The signing ceremony takes place amid threats from the DA and Business Unity SA to challenge the bill in court as soon as Ramaphosa signs it.
