The DA has called for the dissolution of the Joburg council amid what it calls the 'coalition chaos' in the City of Joburg.

The DA will seek to have its call to dissolve the Johannesburg council tabled next Friday as "coalition chaos" in the country's economic hub continues unabated.

DA Johannesburg caucus leader Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku first proposed the "motion without a notice" at the 21st extraordinary sitting of the council on 29 August.

Her proposal, however, was ignored, and the council continued with the rising of a councillor to complain about how servers dished his lunch.
