Two people were killed and four injured following a fire at a residential building in Johannesburg.

A 30-year-old woman has been detained for questioning on suspicion of starting the fire that killed two people in a building in the Johannesburg CBD on Sunday morning, the police said.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi added the woman was being questioned at the Johannesburg Central Police Station.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Nana Radebe-Kgiba said firefighters extinguished the blaze in the Express building on the corner of Nugget and Commissioner streets and handed over their initial findings to the police.
