Disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo.
After undergoing a mental assessment because of his continued theatrics during court proceedings, disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo was declared fit to stand trial.
Since Teffo's arrest in August on charges of fraud, assault and theft, proceedings at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court had been delayed on numerous occasions because of his seemingly eccentric demeanour.
This included refusing to appear in court, not allowing police to take his fingerprints, despite a court order compelling him to do so, claiming to be an admitted advocate, and accusing magistrates of a sinister agenda against him.
