Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has lashed out at Buffalo City Metro mayor Princess Faku for going to court to interdict some residents who wanted to meet her over a barrage of service delivery concerns.
Judge Phillip Zilwa interdicted community leader Leonard Ncumbese, and a group of concerned residents, from encouraging or promoting "unlawful activities" at the East London city hall.
The residents were set to meet Faku at East London city hall on Tuesday morning, but the mayor urgently approached the East London High Court on Monday evening where a court order for an interim interdict was granted in her favour.
