Councillors in Ekurhuleni will vote to remove a Speaker who is accused of failing to intervene in two council brawls and other alleged indiscretions during her tenure.
The motion of no confidence in Nthabiseng Tshivhenga is set to take place at the end of an ordinary council sitting on Thursday.
It was brought by DA councillor Raymond Dhlamini, the council's former Speaker, and seconded by DA caucus chief whip Michael Waters.
