All the other political parties' manifestos are a copy-and-paste job of ANC policies, the party's president, Cyril Ramaphosa, told supporters on Sunday.
Ramaphosa spoke at a packed venue in the Esibaneni sports ground in Umzumbe, KwaZulu-Natal, in the ANC's Tolomane Mnyayiza region, viewed as the ruling party's fortress because it controls 15 of the 20 wards.
Ramaphosa was under heavy guard, with at least a dozen armed men surrounding the stage.
