Former ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule announced a "united front" and "amalgamation" between his party, the African Congress for Transformation (ACT), and uMkhonto we Sizwe Party, which is backed by former president Jacob Zuma.

According to a statement that circulated on social media on Friday morning, Magashule embarked on a three-day tour to "share insights and plans for the potential Magashule and Zuma united front, emphasising a departure from traditional politics towards a more inclusive, people-centric approach".
