Leroy "Finch" Brown, a suspected Westbury gang leader, was gunned down on Tuesday.

The death of the infamous Leroy "Finch" Brown, the suspected boss of the Varados gang, has instilled fear and anxiety in the community of Westbury in Johannesburg.

Initially, many locals celebrated Brown's death by blowing vuvuzelas, dancing and playing music, but now they fear that his death may lead to revenge killings in the gang-plagued suburb.

"There is a sense of confusion about how people feel in Westbury," community leader Jefferson Johnson told News24.
