Most parts of Pretoria West are without electricity after a switch gear room in an old, decommissioned power station caught fire on Friday night.
The fire broke out at 21:00, according to Tshwane EMS spokesperson Thabo Charles Mabaso.
He said emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find the switch gear room engulfed in flames.
