Five suspected cash-in-transit robbers believed to be linked to a heist in KwaMashu M25 Highway near Duff Road on Monday, have been shot dead.

They were killed in a shootout with police in Ridgeview, Durban, on Wednesday.

The bodies of four men were inside a BMW believed to be a getaway vehicle, while a fifth body lay on the road.
