The missing son of Abantu Batho Congress leader and former eThekwini deputy mayor Philani Mavundla was found dead on Saturday. Mavundla is also a former mayor of Umvoti. 

The family was mum on the details surrounding Nkosinathi Mavundla’s death.

Mavundla’s other son, Sandile Mavundla, confirmed to News24 that his brother had died.
