Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail and strong winds are forecast in parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

Wet conditions are expected in most of the country, but it will be fine and hot in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.

Impact-based warning

Yellow Level 2 warning: Severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours that may lead to flooding, large amounts of small hail as well as possible damaging winds are expected over the central and western parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
