Severe thunderstorms, as well as extremely hot and humid conditions are expected in KwaZulu-Natal, while most of the country will be partly cloudy and warm, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

Impact-based warnings

Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, as well as strong damaging winds, excessive lightning, and hail, and damage to infrastructure and settlements over the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape and south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, excluding the coastline.
