Minister of Police Bheki Cele has said the identified contractors working on the building that collapsed in George on Monday have not been forthcoming with information requested by police.

Cele, who visited the site on Sunday afternoon, told the media that an investigation into the collapse was under way.

The minister said the developer, the main contractor, and six sub-contractors had been identified.
