Former Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) Lizeka Tonjeni applied for a passport, in contravention of her bail conditions, just two weeks before she was found guilty of corruption for accepting a bribe from controversial company Digital Vibes.
After convicting Tonjeni on Friday, the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court dismissed her bid for bail pending her sentencing because she broke her bail conditions, giving rise to the notion that she may flee.
