A Grade 3 pupil from Roodepoort has died at a local clinic, allegedly due to food poisoning.
The Gauteng Department of Education said on Friday that the boy and a fellow pupil, from Onkgopotse Tiro Primary School in Tshepisong, had bought and eaten a pack of biscuits from a local spaza shop in the area.
Police are still to determine the official cause of death and circumstances surrounding the case.
