Walter Fischel who was shot in the face during a robbery in Nyanga has been given the all-clear by doctors to travel to the US.
Accompanied by police officers, American tourist Walter Fischel returned to Bristol and New Eisleben roads in Nyanga on Monday, where he was robbed and shot in the face by four armed suspects after landing in Cape Town more than a week ago.
After picking up his rented vehicle outside Cape Town International Airport, Fischel had typed in his destination on his phone's GPS.
It suggested the "fastest" route to Simon's Town was through Nyanga, where he ended up being attacked and shot.
