The State made a startling revelation against the University of Fort Hare's (UFH) head of investigations and vetting services, Isaac Plaatjies, who appeared in the Dimbaza Magistrate's Court for his bail application on Wednesday.
Plaatjies was arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder by the SAPS national task team probing the killings at UFH.
The State alleged, among other things, that Plaatjies visited the hitmen who assassinated vice-chancellor Professor Sakhela Buhlungu's bodyguard, Mboneli Vesele.
