The ANC Eastern Cape’s much-anticipated provincial conference has been interdicted.

This after three ANC members approached the Eastern Cape High Court in KuGompo City (formerly East London) on Monday, seeking to nullify the conference, which was scheduled to take place at the East London International Convention Centre.

The applicants argued that the ANC processes and regulations were flouted in the build-up to the conference.

Their matter was heard in court on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, Judge Babalo Metu granted an interim interdict, pending the submission of supplementary papers from the ANC.
