According to the department, Health Minister Joe Phaahla is expected to announce the placement of junior doctors during a media briefing on Tuesday.

A group of medical graduates have been left fuming as they claim they are still waiting for the Department of Health to place them for their one-year community service for 2024.

The junior doctors recently completed their two-year internship in the health department's Community Service Training Programme.

They now have to do community service as the next part of the programme – from 1 January.
