The Ingonyama Trust Board denied it was paying the legal fees of AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini in ongoing litigation to defend his position as the AmaZulu monarch.

Advocate Allister Dickson, on behalf of the board, appeared in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Friday, before Judge John Olsen, amid a legal challenge by Prince Mbonisi kaBhekuzulu against his nephew, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.

Dickson represented the new board, which was appointed in May 2023.
