Life insurance and funeral policy claims were allegedly the motive for a Soshanguve couple's decision to kill the wife's former lover.
Sibusiso Mahlangu and his wife, Lerato, are on trial for the murder of Sibusiso Sithebe, her former boyfriend and father of her daughter.
It is alleged they killed Sithebe and placed his body in their house which was then set alight, to make it appear as if Mahlangu had died.
