Irish law enforcement authorities deny that the life of a South African man, sought in connection with a 2014 double-murder, is under threat in their country.

On Wednesday, the extradition inquiry of Neville van der Westhuizen, 41, continued in the Durban Regional Court before the magistrate, Kevin Bruorton.

Van der Westhuizen and his lover, Ruth Lawrence, a 42-year-old Irish national, are accused of killing 32-year-old Eoin O'Connor and 33-year-old Anthony Keegan before fleeing to South Africa in 2014.
