Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will soon have his full powers, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa. The president said the matter was being "resolved and straightened out".
Ramaphosa on Saturday downplayed concerns that there were tensions between his Cabinet ministers about additional ministerial powers for Ramokgopa to resolve the energy crisis.
In a recent meeting, the ANC's national working committee resolved that the electricity minister must urgently be given full powers.
