The family of slain eThekwini Metro Police Department officer Bianca Khuzwayo believes that her murder was planned.
They say there were signs that the 24-year-old's relationship with her boyfriend, Sizwe Ngema - who has since been arrested - was abusive, but added that she didn't disclose much about her private life to them, so they could not intervene.
The State believes that Khuzwayo was pregnant when 27-year-old Ngema, also a metro police officer, allegedly stabbed her to death.
