The number of people who lost their lives in floods caused by torrential rains across KwaZulu-Natal since Friday has risen to eight.
Six people remain missing since severe thunderstorms and strong winds left a trail of destruction in various parts of the province over the weekend.
According to the provincial Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) on Sunday afternoon, the most significant damage has been reported in the eThekwini Metro, KwaDukuza and Ndwedwe Local Municipality.
