Limpopo police are investigating the rape of a 7-year-old girl, allegedly by a Grade 7 boy, at Shongoane Primary School in Lephalale.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the Grade 2 pupil was taken to a school toilet and allegedly raped by the boy between 12:00 and 14:30 on Friday.  

"The victim arrived at home complaining about leg injuries and her mother checked [her] but thought it was just a minor injury.
