Two young lions, Tsar and Jamil, who made the long journey to South Africa from war-torn Ukraine have finally found refuge at the Born Free Sanctuary in the Eastern Cape after a harrowing journey.

The pair arrived at their new home, Born Free's Big Cat Sanctuary at Shamwari Private Game Reserve on Tuesday.

Born in a Ukrainian zoo, the lions were sold to a farm in that country as a tourist attraction.
